The professional electric fryer FD 80 is designed to deliver consistent frying performance with excellent food quality and operational safety in commercial kitchens. One of its key features is the integrated cold zone, which ensures cooking without the transfer of taste or odor between different foods.
This cold zone allows operators to fry a variety of products—such as French fries, fish, and donuts—in the same oil bath without flavor contamination. The temperature difference of approximately 100°C between the upper oil layer and the bottom of the tank ensures that food residues naturally settle beneath the heating elements. This process helps keep the oil cleaner for longer, reducing carbonization and maintaining frying quality over time.
As a result, the FD 80 promotes lower oil consumption and consistently high frying standards, while preventing unwanted mixing of flavors or smells between batches.
Safety and precision are key aspects of the design. The fryer is equipped with a precise bulb thermostat for temperature regulation between 0 and 180°C, along with a dual safety thermostat with positive cutoff in each tank. In case of overheating or insufficient oil levels, the system automatically shuts down to protect the equipment and operator. Once the issue is resolved, the fryer can be easily reset using a dedicated push button inside the cabinet.
For ease of maintenance, the heating and control box is fully removable, allowing thorough cleaning. Additional features include a micro-switch, stainless steel basket, stainless steel lid, and pilot indicator lights for safe and efficient operation.
It is important to note that, according to European Standard EN 60335-2-37, fryers without emptying systems above certain capacity thresholds are restricted in the EU market. As a result, the FD 80 is intended primarily for export markets outside the European Union.
